Glenda K. "Stevens" (Chambers) Vidmar

Glenda K. Vidmar  “Stevens” passed away December 26, 2017 at the David Simpson Hospice House in Cleveland.  She was born February 6, 1944 in Toronto, Ohio, to Glen and Kay (Grill) Chambers.

Glenda was a 1962 graduate of Toronto High School and received her bachelor’s degree from Kent State University in 1966.  She was an elementary school teacher for the Painesville Township School System, taught 3rd grade at Buckeye School and 5th grade at Hale Road School.

Glenda and Stephen met in 1992 and were married on May 6, 1994. Some circumstances led to a rocky beginning that in the long run made their marriage as solid as a rock. They enjoyed many years of happiness. 
Glenda really looked forward to their every Saturday adventures. Didn't matter what they did or where they went. All that mattered was that they did it together. Ask anyone around, when you saw her you saw Stephen.
She also enjoyed solving the daily crossword puzzle, and building jigsaw puzzles together during the winter months.
She was a breast cancer survivor in 2015.
Another bout of cancer may have taken her life, yet it never took her spirit, and it will never take the wonderful memories that this incredible woman left us all.

She was an avid reader and enjoyed gardening.  She loved taking care of all animals, domestic and strays, especially her cat, “Rozy”.  Glenda was one of the kindest and gentlest persons ever.  She loved to cook, decorate for the holidays and celebrate her son’s birthday.  And, she especially loved her family and all her friends.

Glenda is survived by her husband, Stephen Vidmar; son, Mark Stevens; and uncle, Ronald Chambers.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

There will be no Calling hours or service at Glenda’s request.
