John C. and Rita P. (Silvaroli) Russell

A Memorial Mass celebrating the lives of John C. and Rita Pauline (Silvaroli) Russell will be 10:00 AM, Tuesday, April 17th at St. Mary Catholic Church, 242 North State Street, Painesville, OH. Inurnment will be in Evergreen Cemetery.

John was born April 5, 1931 in Painesville to the late Earl Wade and Elizabeth Russell.  He passed away January 7, 2015 in Canal Winchester, OH.

Rita was born April 17, 1931 in Painesville to the late Antonio and Mary Silvaroli.  She passed away December 4, 2017 in Canal Winchester, OH.

John and Rita were married 63 years until his death in 2015.  John was a graduate of The Ohio State University and served in the U. S. Army during the Korean Conflict.  Rita enjoyed Ohio State football and never missed a game.

They are survived by their sons, John C. (Susan) Russell of Corona del Mar, CA; Jeffrey C. (Mary Beth) Russell of Raleigh, NC; daughter Julie A. (Phillip) Hale of Dumfries, VA; grandchildren, John (Marci) Russell, Bryan (Katie) Russell, Anne Russell, Jessica (Matt) Hazlett, Philip (Karmen) Russell, Andrew Russell, Phillip Hale, and Melissa Hale; great-grandchildren, Mason and Everley and Kylie.

John is also survived by his sister, Anne (Henry) Graham.  Rita’s sisters, Teresa Mirando, Gloria Seese and brother, Sonny Silvaroli survive her.

John was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Philip Russell.  Rita was preceded in death by her parents.
