Richard A. Palinkas

Funeral Services for Richard A. Palinkas, age 62 of Painesville, will be 4:00 PM. Saturday, July 22nd at Spear Mulqueeny Funeral Home, 667 Mentor Avenue, Painesville, OH.  Family and friends may call 1:00 – 4:00 PM before the service.

He was born November 27, 1954 in Cleveland and passed away, July 14, 2017 at his residence in Painesville.

Richard worked for Grantham, Inc. in Fairport for 15 years and retired from M J M Industries.    He enjoyed fishing, bowling, playing pool and he especially loved listening to his daughters sing.  Richard was a life-time member of the Hungarian Culture Club, a former member of Eagles #2278 and a former member of Fairport VFW Post 7754.  He was a fun-loving, hard-working man and was also a loving father, grandfather and son. Richard especially loved spending time with his family…his children, grandchildren and his mother.

He is survived by his daughters, Jennifer (John Jr.) Henry and Andrea (David Jr.) Hooper; mother, Joan (Rushlow) Palinkas; grandchildren, John Henry III, Robert Henry, Cali Henry, Marissa Henry, Brannen Henry, Kaiden Henry, Codey Plants, Chelsea Hooper and McKenna Hooper; sisters in Law, Bonnie Palinkas, Josephine Palinkas; brother in law James Duplessis

Richard was preceded in death by his father, Gene Emery Palinkas, Sr.  in 2001; brother, Charles Palinkas, sister, Cynthia Duplessis, brother, Gene Palinkas II, and sister, Susan Voiles.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Richard’s memory to Hospice of the Western Reserve, 5786 Heisley Road, Mentor, Ohio 44060.
