Michael W. Kaehler. age 78, passed away January 20, 2023, at his residence in Painesville. He was born January 1, 1945, in Hamberg, Germany. He passed peacefully in his sleep with his wife by his side.
Michael served as a Marine during the Vietnam War. He worked as a plant manager/engineer for Jacobsen Manufacturing, after 35 years as a Manufacturing Engineer at the Ferry Cap and Set Screw Company.
He was an avid hiker and spent many happy hours on the Buckeye Trail with his wife. He was also an excellent cook and enjoyed entertaining his friends with gourmet level meals.
In recent years he spent a summer zip lining and jet skiing with his family, whom he dearly loved.
Michael is survived by his wife, Terri Kaehler; son, Michael (Cindy) Kaehler; daughters, Nicole (Josh) Bell and Shana Gyure; grandchildren Shayne Kaehler and Ryan Tyler Bell.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Frieda (Kaehler) Colic.
