ARNETT M TITUS “POP” of Painesville passed away Friday April 27th after a long battle with heart, lung, and kidney complications. Pop was born August 16, 1938 to Melvin and Sylvia (Carter) Titus in Kincheloe, West Virginia. Over the years Pop has helped so many and has touched many lives. He spent his life dedicated to his family and friends. Throughout his life he spent a lot of time building race cars and enjoying family gatherings around the fire. In his younger years he was an avid hunter. He was a member of Lakeside Baptist Church where he spent most Sunday mornings. He also served in the United States Army. Pop retired from Lonza in Painesville as a maintenance electrician. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years Doris J (Beckley) Titus and children Joseph (Theresa) Smith, Charles Smith, Barbara (Bobby) Farinas, Deborah (Dave) Potter, Rebecca (Lou) Noggy, and Penny (Dave) Sherwood. Also grandchildren Ben and Melissa Smith, Jamie Maier, Shelly Thompson, Richie and Mandy Farinas, Jesse, Gene, and Lisa Titus, Steve Smith, Brian and Shelbie Workman. He is also survived by many great grandchildren and Brothers Larry Titus, William Titus, his sisters, Ruby Dennison, Emma Lou Jeffreys, Lucille (Rick) Logan and Theresa Titus. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Mary Ellen Heffner, Brothers Basil Titus, Franklin Titus, and son Greg Titus. Share your stories and memories at Spear Mulqueeny Funeral Home, 667 Mentor Ave. Painesville Friday May 4th from 2pm to 4pm and 6pm to 8pm. Services will be Saturday at 9:30 AM at the funeral home. Burial will be at Western Reserve Memorial Gardens in Chesterland.
