Carolyn (Hambrecht) Sajovic passed away at David Simpson Hospice House on Thursday, May 4th, 2017, with her family by her side.

Born to the late Fred and Bettie Hambrecht, she graduated from North High School in Eastlake and went on to Dyke Business College where she received her Associates Degree in accounting.

She worked for Roy George Music & Vending for 12 years as Head Bookkeeper and then for 15 years at A. D. Sidley, Inc., as their Financial Manager and Corp. Secretary/Treasurer until the company’s closure in 2002.

Carolyn was a member and past president of The Buckeye Rangers Fast Draw and Show Competition Team since 1982 and was also a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of American Vets Post 40 in Mentor and the Col. Justice M. Chambers Marine Corps League Dept. #555 in Mentor.  She was also a member of St. Bede’s Catholic Church in Mentor.

Carolyn’s favorite memory was hosting her “Grandma’s Night” for ten years for all her grandchildren, who would stay up all night, playing games for silly $1 prizes, that even the oldest ones, at 14, fought to win!

She loved to go to casinos, especially Las Vegas and Hard Rock in Northfield.  She also loved to play poker with her friends and family, read, play games on the internet and do crossword puzzles.  She also crocheted countless scarves for her grandchildren and their friends.

Carolyn is survived by the love of her life, her husband William “Biag”, who she married on September 15, 1984 and her much loved children, Vicki Gain of Painesville, Heidi Snell of Texas, Robert Knowles of Mentor and Anthony (Patricia) Sajovic of Mentor.  She leaves behind her beloved grandchildren, Heather (Bryan) Mast, Samantha (James) Boggs, Amanda (Robert) Hoffman, Marissa Gain, Kayla Knowles, Ryan Knowles and Alex Knowles and her four great-grandsons, Bradyn Mast, twins. Jacob & Tyler Mast and Logan Boggs.  She is also survived by her brother, Frederic (Gail) Hambrecht of South Carolina.  She also leaves behind her best friend, Linda Christman and her cat, Paco.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Bettie Hambrecht and her sister, Gloria Fortin.

Friends may call Monday, May 8th from 4:00-700 PM at Spear Mulqueeny Funeral Home, 667 Mentor Avenue, 667 Mentor Avenue, Painesville.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, May 9th at 10:00 AM at St Bede’s The Venerable Catholic Church, 9114 Lake Shore Blvd., Mentor.  Interment will follow at All Soul’s Cemetery in Chardon.  In Lieu of flowers memorials, may be made in her name to Hospice of the Western Reserve,  5786 Heisley Rd, Mentor, OH 44060.
