James Dixon Wilson, age 53, passed away, September 23, 2017 at the Heros Hospice Center, Louis Stokes VA Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio. 

He is preceded in death by his parents, Guy and Mary Ann Wilson, brothers, Frederick D. (Lois) Wilson and Morgan (Frances) Cooper.

James was born May 8, 1964 in Parsons, West Virginia.  He is survived by his three children, Mandolin, Bonnie and Cooper James Wilson of Savannah, GA; sisters, Sandra Judd of Concord Township, where he resided prior to his hospital stay; Nada (Alfred) Marshall of Winterhaven, FL; Linda (Jim) Nelson of Dryfork, WV; Shelly (Burl) McCosh of Marrietta, GA; Patty Jo (Lisa) Wilson of Candler, NC; brothers,  Clifford Wilson of Winterhaven, FL; and Raymond (Kathy) Wilson of Middlefield, OH;  Special Aunt,  Alma Wilson-Day of Erie, PA; many beloved nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

James worked as a plumber and a carpenter.  He loved his children and was known as “Mr. Mom”.   He made beautiful wood burning plaques and wooden keepsake boxes, which he proudly made for friends and family.  He was in the United States Navy from 1984 – 1987, proudly serving his country on the USS Iowa BB61.

He passed away peacefully with his sister, Sandy Judd; nieces, Oli Judd, Ashley King and Judy Wilkinson; nephews, Aaron King and Austin (Judd) Rudloff; and dear friend Peter Liviola by his side.

A Memorial Services will be held 3:00 PM, Friday, September 29, 2017 at Spear Mulqueeny Funeral Home, 667 Mentor Avenue, Painesville, Ohio.  Family and friends may call 2:00-3:00 PM, one hour prior to the service.
