John F Whiting

In loving memory of John F. Whiting, age 75, of Painesville Township passed away at home on Monday, August 21, 2017, due to Lewy Body Dementia. John was born in East Cleveland, Ohio on March 9, 1942. He grew up in Euclid, Ohio and graduated from St. Joseph High School in 1960. He married his wife Patricia of 54 years on August 3,1963, and they raised their family in Lake County, Ohio. He started his career with the FBI in Cleveland Ohio. Then went into Industrial Sales and retired from Roll Craft in Mentor. John was a caring, loving, wonderful husband/father. We cannot express ours words in writing on how much we truly loved him and what happiness he has brought to all of us. He is survived by his wife Patricia and children Kristine (Ron) Advey, Daniel (Krista) Whiting, Michael (Stefanie) Whiting, Ann Marie Whiting, Theresa (Brian) Williams. Grand Children Sara (Chris) Cervenka, Barbara Casteel, Mitchell Casteel, Sammy Martin, Justin Advey, Emily Brown, Jessica Brown, Kate Whiting, Kloe Whiting, Klair Whiting and his great grand daughter Savanna Cervenka, Brother Timothy (Anita) Whiting, Sister-in-Law Jean Whiting, Susan Whiting Nephews Jim Whiting, Bob Whiting, Tim Whiting, Kevin Whiting, Nieces Michelle (Howard) Grossman, Kelly Martin, Anna (Jay) Munning John enjoyed golfing, camping, hanging with friends playing basketball. He also loved designing and building his homes. Most of all he enjoyed being with family. He is predeceased by his parents Jack and Virginia Whiting, along with his brother Jim Whiting. Our family would like to acknowledge our appreciation to Gloria, Tasha and Keith from Heartland Hospice for the wonderful support. John will be greatly missed. Private memorial service will be held at Riverside Cemetery
