Marie J. (Lombardy) Puleo

Mass of Christian Burial for Marie J. (Lombardy) Puleo will be at 9:30 AM, Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at St. Mary Catholic Church, 242 North State Street, Painesville.  Family and friends may call from 2:00-4:00 PM and 6:00-8:00 PM, Monday, April 17th at Spear Mulqueeny Funeral Home, 667 Mentor Avenue, Painesville.

Marie passed away April 12, 2017 at Tri-Point Medical Center in Concord Township. She was born August 28, 1920 in Painesville to the late Andrew and Mary (Cardina) Lombardy. She married the late Victor Puleo on June 25, 1960. She lived in her home that she and Victor built in Perry for over 50 years. She worked for the Gail G. Grant Department Store in Painesville before retiring. Marie enjoyed bowling, crocheting, and cooking, especially her cheesecake. She also enjoyed spending time with her family.

Marie is survived by her children, Vic (Cheryl) Puleo Jr. of Willoughby, Peggy Puleo of Erie Pa., Connie (Lee) Beckwith of Willoughby, Bonnie (Robert) Armstrong of Twinsburg, Kathy Gordon of Sagamore Hills; brothers, Andrew (Nancy) Lombardy of Madison, Charles (Donna) Lombardy of Concord Twp.; sisters, Geraldine Ace of Wooster, Judith (Jack) Eldridge-Bradenbaugh of Painesville, Rita (Jerry) Van Ness of Mentor; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by brothers, Donald Lombardy and Nicholas (JoAnne) Lombardy; infant sister Theresa Lombardy, sisters Theresa Fleming and Dolores Bradenbaugh; brothers-in-law, Edward Ace and Harold Fleming; sister-in-law, Rosemary Lombardy.
