Funeral Services for Pauline Edna Hoye will be 10:00 AM, Friday, February 9, 2017 at Zion Lutheran Church, 508 Mentor Avenue, Painesville, Ohio, 44077. Family and friends may call, 4:00 – 7:00 PM, Thursday, February 8th at Spear Mulqueeny Funeral Home, 667 Mentor Avenue, Painesville Ohio, 44077.
Mrs. Hoye was born April 8, 1930 in Kenosha, Wisconsin to Christian and Amalia (Schaefer) Mertz. She passed away February 5, 2018 at David Simpson Hospice House.
Pauline was on the Development Board of Hospice and the YMCA Metro Board; Treasurer of Our Shepherd Lutheran School; Secretary of the Lutheran Endowment and Aid Fund; Chairman of the Zion Endowment Fund; and she was fundamental in founding Our Shepherd Lutheran School.
Pauline is survived by her son, James (Stacy) Hoye and daughter, Nancy Hoye Giltner; grandchildren, Kaitlyn (Jack) Giltner-Emerson, Daniel (Kalyla) Hoye, Kelly Hoye and Jack Hoye.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Hoye in 1992, six siblings and her parents.
