Mass of Christian Burial for Ralph Gamber, 92, will be 10:00 AM, Thursday, July 26, 2018 at St. Cyprian Catholic Church, 4223 Middle Ridge Road, Perry, Ohio. Family and friends may call 6:00 – 8:00 PM, Wednesday, July 25th at Spear-Mulqueeny Funeral Home, 667 Mentor Avenue, Painesville. Burial will be in Perry Cemetery.
He was born June 9, 1926 to Alfonso and Amelia (Flora) Gamber in Sewickley, Pennsylvania, and passed away July 22, 2018 in Perry, surrounded by his family.
Ralph served in the U. S. Army during World War II in the South Pacific and received the Purple Heart. He was a welder and retired from Lincoln Electric Company after 31-1/2 years. He and his wife, Joan, were married in July of 1952. They were co-founders of Heisley Tire & Brake Inc. and Ralph worked there for 27 years and still at age 92, went in everyday to further extend kindness to the customers.
He enjoyed playing golf, bowling and playing with his pets.
Ralph is survived by his children, Michael (Debi) Gamber of Mentor, Lori (Rick) Ray of Perry and Ralph (Nancy) Gamber of Perry; ten grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife Joan E. (Mikitin) Gamber in 1997; brother, Sam Gamber and his parents.
