Memorial services for Richard C. Dingle, age 78, of Mentor will be 3:00 PM Saturday, November 30, 2019 at the Spear-Mulqueeny Funeral Home, 667 Mentor Ave. Painesville, family and friends may call from 1-3 PM Saturday at the funeral home.
Rich was the son of Alexander Charles and Jane Eleanor (Peterson) Dingle born on June 3, 1941 in Cleveland, Ohio. He passed away November 23, 2019 at West Medical Center in Willoughby.
Rich was employed at the former Caterpillar Plant in Mentor for 27 years retiring in 2001. He was a member of AMVETS Post 40 in Mentor and BPOE #549 in Painesville. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling and golf. He was an avid fan of the Cleveland Browns and Cleveland Indians. He especially enjoyed spending time with family and friends at the AMVETS Post.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Ida, son, Richard; three daughters, Janet Coyne, Joy (Michael) Thomas, Lisa (Dave) Fisher; grandchildren, Courtney Dingle, Justin Dingle, Vincent Fisher, and Brandon Fisher; brother, Brian (Pam) Dingle; sister, Marlene White; sister-in-law, Marie Nawodny.
He also leaves several nieces and nephews, and his dog Bandit
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers-in- law, Jack White and Mitch Nawodny.
