Robert Stanley Polstein, a resident of Painesville, Ohio, passed away Friday, May 25th, 2018, of natural causes at the age of 71. Robert was born December 25th, 1946 in Bronx, NY to Julius and Sylvia Polstein.
Robert grew up in Bronx, NY, and graduated from the New York High School of Printing in New York, New York. Robert was a Sargent in the U.S. Airforce, worked in Advertising, and was a Corrections Officer most recently for the Cuyahoga County Sheriff’s Department. Robert took great joy in his family and was very proud of the time he spent serving our country.
Robert is survived by his wife Denise Polstein, sister Sharon Chavez, his step children Brian (Kelly) Cogar, Adam Cogar, Adrian (Shiraz) Balestra, grandchild Sadie Cogar, his nieces and nephews Carl Chavez, Jason Chavez, Rebecca (Donald) Coseglia, and Jared (Laura) Chavez, and his great nieces and nephews Brandon Chavez, Jacob Coseglia, Lucas Coseglia, David Coseglia, Adrianna Chavez, and Aiden Chavez.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Sylvia and Julius Polstein, and his sister Francine Kaminoff.
A memorial service will be held at The Grove Church of Lake County, 1697 Mentor Ave, Painesville, Ohio at 4:00 PM, Saturday, June 9th, 2018. Dinner will be immediately following the service at the same location.
Robert will be interned at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, Monday, June 11th, 2018 at 1:00pm.
