William M. "Bill" Light

William “Bill” M. Light, age 72, passed away March 27, 2018 at Cardinal Woods Nursing Home in Madison, Ohio. He was born October 5,1945 at Buckhannon, WV., raised in Webster Springs, WV., and later moved to Painesville Ohio where he made his home and raised his family.

Bill worked at IRC Fibers from 1964-1973. He then retired from Avery Dennison in 2009 after 36 years of service.

He is survived by his wife, Arah Hickman Light, sons Jeffery from Pleasanton, CA, Edward (Christina) from Cocoa Beach, FL, and Stephen (Dalia) from Concord CA. Grandchildren, Christopher, Brandon, Nicholas, Taylor, Emily, and Charlotte, and great granddaughter Sarah Lou.Sisters, Louise Ray and Winnie Giangola, from Ashtabula, Ohio; Mary Ann Stillman from Newburg NY, and Donna(Mike) Sullivan from Euless, Texas.

He is preceded in death by his daughter, Sarah Light, parents, Grant and Sarah Light, brothers, Percy, Leonard, Robert, and Eugene; sisters, Ruth Collins and Wilma Matson.

Friends may call from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM Tuesday, April 3rd at Spear-Mulqueeny Funeral home, 667 Mentor Ave., Painesville, OH. Services will be 10:00 AM, Wednesday, April 4th, at Lakeside Baptist Church, 306 Fairport Nursery Road, Painesville, where Bill was a member. Burial will be in Perry Cemetery following the church service.

Bill will be deeply missed by family and friends as well as his canines, Mr. Whipple and Nakita.
