William P. “Bill” Jerin, Jr., age 43, of Erie, passed away unexpectedly Friday, March 16, 2018. Born in Euclid, Oh, April 3, 1974, he was the son of William, Sr. and Laurel (Shaw) Jerin.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 AM Thursday, March 22nd at St. Mary of the Assumption Church, 8560 Mentor Ave. Mentor, Oh. (Please meet at church) Family and friends will be received 4-7 PM Wednesday, March 21st at Spear Mulqueeny Funeral Home, 667 Mentor Ave. Painesville
Bill was a graduate of Gannon University, where he played baseball. He received his Bachelor and Master of Business degrees from Tiffin University. He was on the boards of both the Erie Airport and Erie Sewer Authorities. Bill was actively involved with the Red Cross and Second Harvest Food Bank and was the president of Junior Achievement. He loved baseball, golfing and the ocean, and was an avid Cleveland Cavaliers fan.
In addition to his parents, Bill is survived by his wife, Amanda Will; two children, Alex Jerin of Fairport Harbor, Ohio and Ashley Jerin of Land O Lakes, Fla.; two grandchildren, Aiden Fortney and Camden Jerin; a brother, Steve Jerin, wife Elizabeth, of Mentor, Ohio; three step-children, Isabella and Mia Will and Giada Kosack. Three nephews also survive.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family or to the Red Cross.
