Graveside services for Albert J. Rosso, 90, of Painesville, passed away Jan. 3, 2016 in Tallahassee Fl. Will be 11:00 AM Saturday May 21, 2016 at Riverside Cemetery 385 Riverside Drive Painesville He was born March 19, 1925 in Ambridge, Pa,and was a resident of Painesville since his marriage to Lola Falcone in 1947. Al proudly served his country as a member of the 2nd Ranger Battalion in the European Theatre during WWII. He was awarded 2 Purple Hearts, a Bronze Star and Presidential Unit Citation, as well as honors from Belgium and France. Al worked as a chemical engineer for Diamond Alkali (Fairport) and as an environmental engineer for the Electrolitic System Division of Diamond Shamrock (Chardon). He was a Ward 3 councilman, a realtor, president of Harbor Credit Union, a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Painesville and a member of Madison Country Club. He is survived by his daughters, Celeste Rosso of Tallahassee, FL; Camille Rosso (Scott) Keys of Chagrin Falls; grandsons, Matthew (Sherron) Jugenheimer of Tallahassee, Fl, Zachariah Krouse of Streetsboro, Joseph Keys of Chagrin Falls and his sister, Beatrice Buhl of Irwin, PA. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 65 years, Lola Falcone Rosso who passed April 13, 2015.
