Services for Alvene F. Busic, age 81, will be 5:00 PM Sunday at Spear-Mulqueeny Funeral Home, 667 Mentor Avenue, Painesville, Ohio.  Family and friends will be received from 4:00 to 5:00 PM Sunday at the funeral home.  Graveside services will take place Monday at 10:00 AM at South Kirtland Cemetery, 10444 Chillicothe Road in Kirtland.

Alvene, the daughter of Noah and Iva (Blessing) Bantz, was born on November 15, 1934 in Dayton, Ohio.  She passed away June 10, 2016 at Governor's Point Assisted Living in Mentor.

She was a member of the Family of Faith Christian Church in Fairport Harbor and was a member of the Praise Band at the church.

Mrs. Busic is survived by her son, Christopher (Donna) Busic of Dayton, and her daughters, Renee Gordon of Willowick, Tonya Busic of Mentor, Michele (Todd) Weaver of Mentor and Heather (George) Mueller of Kirtland.  She is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry R. Busic in 2011, as well as her parents, brothers, Orville and Delbert Bantz, and sisters, Alberta Hodson, and Vera Dye.
