Obituary

Funeral services for Angie Mae Potter Schimpf Cantrell, age 99, will be 11:00 am Saturday at Spear-Mulqueeny Funeral Home 667 Mentor Avenue Painesville. Family and friends will be received from 10:00 am to 11:00 am Saturday at the funeral home. Mrs. Cantrell, a resident of Jefferson, was born on February 8, 1917 in Auburn, Ohio and passed away on September 28, 2016 at the David Simpson Hospice House in Cleveland.

She was a 1934 graduate of Harvey High School. Mae had been employed by Hellriegel's Inn, Painesville; Lake County Title Bureau; and many Lake County auto dealerships.

Mae was a member of the BPOE, Lodge 549 Ladies of the Elk's, and the Elk's Emblem Club. She enjoyed solving crossword puzzles.

Survived by her daughter, Linda M. (Schimpf) [Tim} Golding, son Thomas M. Schimpf; grandchildren Michael J. Schimpf, Stephanie M. Golding; Corey, Tyler, and Mackenzie Schimpf; great grandchildren Alexander, Aubreigh, Autumn, and Amelia Schimpf. Preceded in death by Husband and love of her life, Michael E. Schimpf, whom she married on April 18, 1942; second husband James W. Cantrell; Parents Forrest E. and Gertrude C. (Bales) Potter; Sister Doris Iona Potter Hall; brothers Wilford and Roland.

Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery in Painesville. Contributions in Mae's memory may be made to the Hospice of the Western Reserve 1166 Lake Ave. Ashtabula, OH 44004.
