Funeral services for Ann E. DeCapua, age 64, will be 11:00 am Friday at the Spear-Mulqueeny Funeral Home 667 Mentor Avenue Painesville where friends will be received from 4:00 to 7:00 pm Thursday. A lifetime resident of Painesville, Mrs. DeCapua was born on January 16, 1950 in Painesville. She passed away on June 9, 2014 at TriPoint Medical Center in Concord. A 1968 graduate of St Mary Grade School, Villa Angela High School, Ann received her LPN degree from Eastlake School of Practical Nursing. She was employed by the former Greenlawn Nursing Home and retired as an LPN from Heather Hill Rehab Hospital in Chardon. Ann was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Painesville and the Ohio Nurses Association. Ann married her best friend, John M. DeCapua, Sr. on Feb. 10, 1993 She is survived by, Son, John M. DeCapua, Jr. of Madison Grandchildren, Christopher and Michela Great Grandson, Ethan Uncle, Tom and Irene Lanphier Sister, Maureen Brothers of Painesville Niece, Karen (Christopher) Dickerson of Painesville Sisters-In-Laws, Dolly (Jerry) Palumbo, and Roberta (Tom) Perno Best Friends, Karen and John Hrenko Pat and Ed James Kandy and Jay Miller Preceded in death by, Husband, John DeCapua in 2004 Parents, John and Mary Jane (Landphier) Dowling Aunt, Sally Landphier Interment will be in St. Mary Cemetery in Painesville Donations in Mrs. DeCapua's memory may be made to the Lake County Humane Society 7564 Tyler Blvd. Mentor, OH 44060 or to the family.
