Ann C. Kanocz, age 89, of Concord Township, passed away March 1, 2023, in Chardon, Ohio.  She was born July 1, 1933, in Cleveland to John and Frieda (Eischner) Rath.

Ann worked in the banking industry for many years.  She was a strong and independent woman who grew up during the depression,  She loved reading, learning, and playing the piano.  She was a wealth of knowledge with the memory of elephant.  She was kind and sweet and adored by all who met her.

She most enjoyed spending time with her family.  Ann especially doted on her darling granddaughters and loved them a bushel and peck.  Grandma was her proudest title, with her newest joy being her great granddaughter.

Ann is survived by her son, Jeff Kanocz (Colleen Farrell); daughter-in-law, Avis Kanocz; granddaughters, Taylor Kunsman (Jeremy), Danielle Kanocz; great granddaughter, Kennedy Kunsman; Colleen's sons, Dr. Kurt (Emma) Farrell and Kyle Farrell; and granddaughter, Madeline Farrell. She is also survived by a cousin, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Kanocz in 1986; her son, Kenneth R. Kanocz in 2012; her brother, Robert Rath in 2010 and her parents.

Graveside services will be held 11:00 AM on Tuesday, March 7, 2023, at Mentor Cemetery, Section 22.

The family would like to thank the staff of Residence of Chardon, her home for the last six months, and Hospice of the Western Reserve for the wonderful care they provided Ann.
