Funeral services for Arlene M. (Saltar) Latva, age 78, will be 7:00 pm Sunday at Spear-Mulqueeny Funeral Home 667 Mentor Ave. Painesville. Family and friends will be received from 5:00 to 7:00 pm Sunday at the funeral home.

A Painesville resident, Arlene was born on January 5, 1938 in Painesville and passed away on Sept. 21, 2016 at TriPoint Medical Center in Concord Twp.

Mrs. Latva retired as a secretary for the City of Painesville Recreation Dept.

She was a member of the Painesville United Methodist Church and enjoyed local excursions to different cities in Ohio.

Arlene is survived by her husband, Wiljo W. Latva of Painesville; 4 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.   She is preceded in death by her children, Debra Coradi and Daniel Root; parents, Delbert and Margaret (VanLacke) Saltar; and siblings Carol Corfias and Richard Saltar.

Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Painesville
