Barbara A. James, age 87, passed away June 22, 2026, at her residence in Perry, Ohio. She was born February 27, 1939, in Euclid, Ohio to Michael Trubitsky and Mary (Soltis) Trubitsky.

Barbara is survived by her sisters, Janet (Don) Smeznik, Nancy (George) Wood, John (Bess) Godina and many nieces/nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Mary Brown; nephew, Christopher Spikes; brothers-in-law Don Smeznik and George Wood; and partner Larry Young;

Barbara worked for and retired from Mag-Nif, Inc. in Mentor Ohio for 40+ years

Barb enjoyed spending time with family and friends and volunteering for various veteran organizations/events including the local VFW Women’s Auxiliary and the American Legion; watching her Browns and Indians (she said they will always be that to her even after the name change) and sitting on her porch drinking tea.
