BARBARA G. HEMMING (nee Robinson), age 86, passed away November 9, 2015 at Ames Family Hospice House in Westlake, Ohio. The daughter of the late Walter and Margaret (Murray) Robinson, Barbara was born in Allenhurst, GA and raised near Savannah in Thunderbolt, GA. She was employed as a supervisor in the Dietary Department at the former Lake East Hospital in Painesville for many years and was a pianist for the Painesville Baptist Church, where she was a devoted member. Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, the late Norbert (Gus) Hemming and her brother, the late Frank Robinson of Peachtree City, Ga and is survived by her sister, Sara Kay of Greensburg PA, her nieces Kendall Kay–Suprock, Valerie Kay-Sirignano, Denise McClanahan, Leanne Miller, Jane Carston, and her nephews Frank Robinson and Roy Ritter. In addition, she is survived by her loving sisters-in-law, Jane Robinson and Alice Ritter. She was an accomplished seamstress, an avid gardener and a phenomenal cook. Blessed with a tremendous sense of humor, her greatest joy came from spending time with family and friends. Barbara will be most remembered for her unwavering love of Jesus Christ. Services will be held Saturday, November 13 at 11:00 AM at PAINESVILLE BAPTIST CHURCH, 140 PARK ROAD, Painesville, OH. Visitation will be held at the church, prior to the service at 10:00 AM.
