Funeral Services for Barbara (Barb) Ann Grechar, age 79, a lifelong resident of Leroy Twp. will be held 11:00 AM Thursday July 12th at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 250 Bowhall Road Painesville Twp. Interment will be in Northeast Leroy Cemetery. The family will receive friends 4 to 7 PM Wednesday, July 11th at Spear-Mulqueeny Funeral Home 667 Mentor Avenue Painesville.

Barbara was born in Cleveland, Ohio, December 12th, 1938 to Henry and Elizabeth (Slarb) Welker.

She passed away Friday July 6, 2018 at U H Geauga Medical Center in Claridon Twp. Ohio

She was a longtime member of St. Paul's Church and taught Sunday school.  Barb was retired but previously was employed by Losely Nursery & Sons.   Throughout the years, she enjoyed raising her children, cooking, baking, knitting and sewing.  Barb also enjoyed planting and tending to her flowers.  She enjoyed trips to Florida and cruises.  Barb and Al enjoyed dancing the polka during their 61 years of marriage.

Barbara is survived by her husband, Alfred (Al) R. Grechar; son, Richard (Tammie) Grechar of Mentor; daughters, Jacqueline (Timothy) Ross of Leroy Twp, Gale (Anthony) Lewis of Grand Rapids, MI, and Allison (David) Racek of Chesterland, Oh; grandchildren, Richard, Cora, Elizabeth, Danielle, Taylor, Bethany and Andrew..

She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Carol Clay.
