Bessie B. (Cummings) Cantrick, 86 years old, went home to be with the Lord on January 12, 2019, at home with her family in Painesville, Ohio.

Services for Bessie will be Thursday, January 17, 2019, at 12:00 PM at the Spear-Mulqueeny Funeral Home 667 Mentor Ave, Painesville. Family and friends may call Thursday from 10:00 AM until noon at the funeral home. Burial will be in Concord Cemetery.

Bessie was born on June 20, 1932, to her parents Willard and Iva Cummings. She is survived by her husband of 64 years, David F. Cantrick, daughters Deborah (Ron) Holmes, Barbara  Cantrick, Patricia Cantrick, son David (Karen) Cantrick, grandchildren Jessica (Arie) Holmes-Solomon, Eric Holmes, Cameron (Jaime) Holmes, Shelby Cantrick, Connor Cantrick, great-grandchildren Levi Solomon, Camilla Holmes, and brother Glenn (Janet) Cummings. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Lina Cummings.

Bessie dearly loved her family and friends, and will be remembered for her loving heart and gentle spirit. She always knew when someone needed a warm hug or encouraging word. Her faith in the Lord was strong and steadfast. Those who knew her, witnessed her devotion to her savior.

In Lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made in Bessie's honor to the Hospice of the Western Reserve, 300 E.185, Cleveland, Ohio 44119.
