Bettie J. Dye, age 78, passed away March 31, 2026, at David Simpson Hospice House in Cleveland.  She was born November 17, 1947, in Whitmer, West Virginia to Dorsie White and Annette (Weiford) White.

Bettie was a medical assistant and worked for Dr. Weiland in Chardon for many years.

She absolutely loved nothing but spending time with all her grandkids.  She enjoyed her trips to the family cabin in Tionesta, Pennsylvania, and traveling back home to West Virginia.

Bettie is survived by her daughter, Dawn (David) Garey and son, Dale "D J" Dye; siblings, Jerry (Denise) White; Dennis (Cheryl) White, Anne Burns, twin brother, Bob (Pam) White, and Greg (Lynn) White;   grandchildren, Ashley (R J) Spaller, David Dye, Dylan (Lucy) Dye and Dominick Garey; great grandchild, Elaina Spaller; and her "grand pups".

She was preceded in death by her husband, Delbert Dye; son, Chris Dye; brother and sister-in-law, Jack White and Marlene White; sisters, Karen Sandor and Debbie White; and her parents, Dorsie and Annette White.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, April 18, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Hambden Congregational Church, 13840 U. S. Route 6, Chardon, Ohio 44024.
