Bobbie Jo (Stewart) Brassell, age 86, of Leroy Twp., OH went home to be with the Lord on August 24, 2026. She was born in Kingston, OH June 17, 1940, to Mary Helen (Jordan) Stewart and Robert G. Stewart. She resided in Leroy Twp., on Carter Road for most of her life beginning at age 4.

Bobbie married her loving husband, Robert J. Brassell, on October 15, 1966, after which they were lovingly known as the Bobbies. Bobbie was mostly a stay-at-home mom and worked part-time in the office at the Painesville Church of the Nazarene Day Care.

She loved children so much she opened her own in-home day care for 20+ years. She also enjoyed visiting with the elderly. She always believed in and lived her life by helping, being kind & loving towards others.

Bobbie was a member of Leroy Community Chapel for a large part of her life. During which time, she taught Sunday School, was a Pioneer Girls Leader and always volunteered for various Church activities.

Bobbie is survived by her loving husband, Robert J. Brassell; daughter Ami Lynn (Tim) Rose; sisters, Anne Morgan, Susie Prugel and the loves of her life, her grandchildren; Ashley Mileff, Bailey Farrell, Riley Farrel, Bobby Farrell; step-grandchildren, Michael Rose, Chase Rose, Ryan Farrell, Patrick Farrell and Anne Farrell.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter, Julie Ann Farrell, her sister, Dolores Maki and sister, Margaret Stewart.

Family and friends will be received 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM, Saturday, August 29, 2026, at Spear Mulqueeny Funeral Home, 667 Mentor Avenue, Painesville, Ohio. A Graveside Service will be held at a later date at Williams Cemetery in Leroy, Twp., OH.
