Bobby Joe Compton, age 81, of Perry, passed away January 30, 2021 at LakeMed Nursing and Rehab Center in Painesville Township.  He was born March 8, 1939 in Bramwell, West Virginia to Joseph and Josephine Ellen (Schrader) Compton.

Bobby served in the United States Army and was a self-employed drywall contractor for many years.

He enjoyed fishing, playing pool, singing, playing the guitar and most of all spending time with his friends and family. Bobby also loved visiting his home state of West Virginia every chance he could.

He was a kind and loving father and grandfather and will truly be missed by his friends and family.

Bobby is survived by; brother, Jackie Compton; daughters, Gina (Thomas) Dorrington of Perry and Billie Jo Compton of Conneaut; son, Brian Keith Compton of Perry; grandchildren, Jordan Perttu, Corey Mann, Ashley Ann Compton, John Crystalolski, Brooke Paige Crystalolski, Christopher (Jeanne) Mann, Kylee Mann, Kinsley Mann, Branden Mann, Zachary Mann, Ashton Compton and Joseline Compton, Joey Compton, Scottie Compton.

He was preceded in death; by his parents, Joseph and Josephine Compton; sisters, Betty Lou Compton, Linda (Compton) Wrachford; brothers, Jimmy Compton and Jerry Compton; grandchildren, Lisa A. Mann and Timothy M. Mann.

A Celebration of Life for Bobby will be held at a later date.
