Bobby Lee Rhodes, age 84, of Painesville, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 10, 2021 at Hospice of the Western Reserve. He was born January 4, 1937 in Helen, WV to Frank and Ruth (Thomas) Rhodes and grew up in Amigo, WV. Bob graduated from White Sulphur High School in 1955. He married Juanita Irene Sanders in Rhodell, WV on August 10, 1957.

Along with his loving wife of 63 years, Bob is survived by his daughters: Tammey (Ronald) Nicholson, Terrie (Bob) Machen, Theresa Kipp, and Tracie (David) Crim; grandchildren: John (Danielle) Wolford, Jr., Robert Wolford, Nicole Merando, Micaela Merando, Joshua Kipp, Kaitlyn Kipp, Emily Crim, and Ryan Crim; great grandchildren: Kason Greenwood, Logan Wolford, Benjamin Wolford, and Amelia Wolford; brother, Bill (Joanne) Rhodes; and many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister and brother-in-law, Frankie and Charles Hughes; and son-in-law, John Wolford, Sr.

Bob loved the Lord and his family. He was a member of Painesville Baptist Church. His handheld prayers at every gathering will forever be remembered. He loved nature. He was happiest outside boating, fishing, camping, hiking, and biking. His yard was always full of beautiful roses, birds at feeders, and squirrels waiting to be hand fed cookies. He was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force and served from 1957 to 1967. He went on to work at Fasson and retired from Morton Salt in 2002.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Park in Beckley, WV. Spear-Mulqueeny Funeral Homes is assisting the family.
