Funeral Services for Buddy Underwood, age 91, a lifelong resident of Lake County, will be

10:00 AM Wednesday, June 14th at Spear- Mulqueeny Funeral Home 667 Mentor Ave, Painesville.

Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery in Painesville.  Family and friends may call 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM Tuesday June 13th at the funeral home.

Buddy was born to Collie M. and Nora (nee Parker) Underwood on May 25, 1926 in Doddridge County, West Virginia.

He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Painesville, the American Legion in Painesville, and the VFW in Fairport Harbor.  He worked as a pipe fitter at Diamond Shamrock and was a water treatment operator for the City of Fairport Harbor.  He took great pride in his yard, helping his neighbors, and showing love to all animals, including his loyal dog "Abby".  Buddy enjoyed eating out both for breakfast and dinner and enjoyed talking with the many people he would meet at the restaurants.

Surviving family members include his son, Mark Underwood of Mentor; niece, Judy (John) Basco of Painesville, and many great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Irene (nee Nibeller) Underwood; daughter, Joan Underwood; sisters, Bernice Parcell & Evelyn Baucher; and nephews, Larry Parcell and Gilbert Kalina.
