Memorial Mass for Carmelita Arp, age 102, will be 11:00 am Monday, March 14, 2016 at St. Mary Catholic Church 242 North State Street Painesville, where friends will be received from 10:00 am to 11:00 am Monday. A lifetime Painesville resident, the daughter of Lebrato and Mary (Cardina) Bertone was born on January 7, 1914 in Painesville. Carmelita passed away on March 8, 2016 at her residence.

She graduated from Harvey High School and was a member of St. Mary Church. Mrs. Arp was also a member of the Pompeii Society as well as several other clubs at St. Mary Church.

Carmelita is survived by, Children, James J. Arp and Mary Ann Gavelda Grandchildren, Robert L. Ames, Stephen T. (Anne Marie) Ames, Lawrence M. (Teresa) Ames, Ronald W. Ames, Christopher Arp, and Bryan (Mischa) Arp Great Grandchildren, Nicholas, Grant, Zachary, Alex, Daniel, and Nolan Ames; Michael, Megan, and Joshua Arp Preceded in death by her husband, Jay Arp.
