Mass of Christian Burial for Carolyn D. "Babe" Keeney, age 85, of Grand River, will be 10 AM, Wednesday, November 8th, 2017 at St. Bede the Venerable Catholic Church, 9114 Lakeshore Blvd. Mentor, Ohio.

Mrs. Keeney was born in April 11, 1932 in Mount Pleasant, PA. and passed away October 31, 2017 at Lake West Medical Center in Willoughby.

Babe has been a Grand River resident for 61 years. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren, and was a devoted fan of her beloved Cleveland Indians. She was a loving and generous mother and grandmother, and a devoted wife for 55 years. She is now reunited for eternity with her loving husband, Scott.

Carolyn is survived by her daughter Judy (Richard) Bacurin of Mentor; son, Scott Keeney Jr. of Grand River; grandchildren, Christy and Jenn Bacurin of Mentor; sister, Betty (William) Kovalchick of Parma; and sister-in-law, Helen (Marchin) Szelc of Connellsville PA.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Scott R. Keeney; parents, Joseph and Josephine (Kowalczyk) Szelc; and brother Eugene Szelc.
