December 23, 1990 – October 21, 2022
Chad A. Cornwell, age 31, passed away October 21, 2022, at Lake West Medical Center in Willoughby. He was born as an early Christmas gift on December 23, 1990, to Pete and Kelly (Walrath) Cornwell.
Chad began his career at Millennium Control Systems in 2016, starting in the receiving department. He continued to grow his career at Millennium in a variety of promotions, and recently was promoted to deputy shop supervisor. Outside of work he enjoyed snowboarding, golfing, and shooting, beach and cruise vacations with his family and close friends. He shared his love of the outdoors, hiking, cooking, and working on his new home with Bailey. Chad had a great love for his dogs Benny and Louie. Chad had an infectious zest for life, an amazing sense of humor, and brought out the best in everyone around him. He loved his family, Bailey, and his friends wholeheartedly.
He is survived by his parents Pete and Kelly, brother Alec Cornwell, paternal grandparents, Thurman and Claudia Cornwell, and the love of his life, Bailey Lampey. Chad also leaves behind his loving family including, Uncles Ken (Patti) Cornwell, Shawn Cornwell, Aunts Karen Gornall, Kim (Tom) Sari, Kay Hildebrandt, Cousins Devin (John) Michaletti, Anna Cornwell, Abby Cornwell, Kristie (Neil) Patel, Stephen (Alli) Benson, Nicole (Matt) Nelson, Brian (Courtney) Sari, Michael Hildebrandt, and Jennifer Hildebrandt. Chad is also survived by an incredible group of friends – whether you knew him two months, or twenty years, he made you feel like family.
Chad was preceded in death by his beloved maternal grandparents, Herb and Jane Walrath, and his much loved dogs Ginger and Maggie.
Friends will be received 12:00 – 3:00 PM Saturday 10-29-2022 at Spear Mulqueeny Funeral Home, 667 Mentor Avenue, Painesville. Funeral services will immediately follow at 3:00 PM.
