Connie A. Sell, surrounded by her family, passed away and went to be with Lord on June 11, 2026, at Grand River Health and Rehab Center in Painesville, Ohio. She was 85 years old. Connie was born August 18th, 1940, in Altoona, PA the daughter of Marion Hileman and Miriam (Hicks) Hileman. Connie was a graduate of Altoona High School in 1958. In 1960, Connie married her husband Fred in Altoona, PA. After her husband served his country in the Army from 1960 to 1962, Fred and Connie and their family moved to Painesville, Ohio.

Connie was a homemaker and employed by the Painesville City School System as an elementary school lunchroom program manager. She worked at Lathrop School in Painesville, OH for just over twenty-five years. Connie was formerly an active member of The First Baptist Church of Painesville for over fifty years and more recently attended The Mentor Church of Christ.

Connie enjoyed working on word search puzzles, reading the newspaper, watching the game show channel and sports on TV, visiting friends, and traveling. She especially loved spending time with family, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Connie is survived by her sons, Kevin Sell, Jeffrey (Michelle) Sell, and Gregory (Alice) Sell; grandchildren, Brian, Meghan, Morgan, Nathan, Chance, Marissa, Corey and Caitlyn, great grandchildren Harper, Paige, Roman, and Parker; Sister-in-law Dorothy Hileman, and many nephews and nieces. Connie was preceded in death by her husband Fred R. Sell in 2019, parents Marion and Miriam Hileman, brother Richard Hileman, grandson Jeffrey Ian Sell, brother-in-law John Beach, sister-in-law Joanne (Sell) Beach, brother-in-law Ray Maurer, sister-in-law Carol (Sell) Maurer, brother-in-law Ray D. Sell Jr, and sister-in-law Gretchen Sell.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday June 23rd, 2026, at the Spear Mulqueeny Funeral Home, 667 Mentor Avenue, Painesville, Ohio. Visitation for family and friends is from 4:00 to 8:00 PM Monday June 22nd, 2026, at the funeral home. Burial will immediately follow the funeral service at the Riverside Cemetery in Painesville, OH. Elder Marc Addison of The Mentor Church of Christ will officiate.
