Conrad J. Galayda, age 71, passed away March 15, 2022, at David Simpson Hospice House in Cleveland.  He was born December 22, 1950, in Painesville to Andy and Angela (Pace) Galayda.

Conrad served in the United States Army.  He was the owner/operator of Mr. Hero in Mentor for many years.  He also worked as a bus driver for LakeTran for over 12 years.  Conrad served as vice chairman of UAW Local 1834, and vice president of UAW Local 1834 Amalgamated.  He was a bingo caller at Lake Catholic for over 10 years.  Conrad was also a member of St. Andrew's Episcopal Church in Mentor and worked on their Holiday Luncheon Committee.

Conrad is survived by his daughter, Anne (Aaron) Tucker; son, Simon (Arianne) Galayda; granddaughter, Shianne Galayda; grandson, Joshua Galayda; sister-in-law, Cheryl Galayda; nephew, Andrew Galayda (Rachel Kotnik) and niece, Beth Galayda.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Vicki (Stamblesky) Galayda in 2008; grandson, Sean Joseph Galayda; brother, Chuck Galayda; his parents; and his best friend, Kate Wells.

Funeral Services for Conrad will be held 11:00 AM, Monday, March 21, 2022, at St. Andrew Episcopal Church, 7989 Little Mountain Road, Mentor.  Friends will be received 1:00 – 4:00 PM, Sunday, March 20th at Spear Mulqueeny Funeral Home, 667 Mentor Avenue, Painesville.

In lieu of flowers contributions in Conrad's memory may be made to St. Andrew Episcopal Church.
