Funeral Services for Cynthia L. Flach, 66, of Painesville, will be 10:00 AM, Monday, March 18, 2019 at St. James Episcopal Church, 131 North State Street, Painesville, Ohio.  Family and friends will be received, 2:00 – 4:00 PM and 5:00 – 7:00 PM, Sunday, March 17th at Spear Mulqueeny Funeral Home, 667 Mentor Avenue, Painesville.

Cynthia was born September 26, 1952 in Jeannette, PA to Leslie Jack and Mary Louise (Frye) Poglein.  She passed away, March 14, 2019, at her home in Painesville surrounded by her family.

Cynthia graduated from Penn Joint High School in 1970 and Thiel College in 1974 with a degree in biology.  She was employed 26 years for Painesville City Schools, of which 23 years was in the Treasurer's Office and 3 years at Huntington Elementary School.  She was a member of St. James Episcopal Church where she was very active in the Altar Guild, the Women's Fellowship Group, the Daughters of the King, and was also treasurer of the lunch program for 25 years.

Cynthia enjoyed being a "parrot head", seeing Jimmy Buffett 17 times.  She and Walter took 17 cruises and enjoyed cruising the Caribbean.  Cynthia had great pride and love for her three grandsons, her two daughters and their husbands.  She sincerely enjoyed spending time with them all.  One of her favorite things was hosting the family Labor Day party 36 out of the last 38 years. Everyone loved her Oreo Freak-Out and Beef on Weck.

Cynthia is survived by her husband, Walter Flach, Jr.; daughters, Stephanie (Chris) Fulton of Thompson and Allison (Travis) Alexander of Painesville; grandsons, Malachi, Kellen, and Tucker; brother, Larry (Debbie) Poglein of Bridgeville, Pennsylvania; sister, Sandi (Tim) Hoffman of Jeannette, Pennsylvania.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
