Funeral Services for David E. Barstow will be held 10:00 AM, Thursday, November 30, 2017, at Spear Mulqueeny Funeral Home, 667 Mentor Avenue, Painesville. The family will receive friends 4:00-7:00 PM, Wednesday, Nov. 29th at the funeral home.  Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery.

David was born to Walter and Emma (Judd) Barstow in Painesville and passed away November 27, 2017 at Concord Village Skilled Nursing in Concord Township.

He was a life-long Lake County resident and was employed as a press operator for Activities Press.  After serving in the U. S. Army in 1953, David worked for Barber & Heinz Roofing.  He also worked at Regal Lanes and the Sanitary Engineer's Office for Lake County.

He was very active in his church, the First Baptist Church of Painesville.  He held many church offices and was a deacon and an usher.  David loved to bowl.  He won an All-Star Bowling Tournament in Kansas City, Mo. in 1963.  He also enjoyed golf, fishing, and camping, but most of all he loved spending time with his family.

David is survived by his wife, Jeannine (Phelps) Barstow; daughters, Bonnie (Joseph) Crim and Denise (Terry) Brewer; Grandchildren, Bradley and Kyle Crim, Michelle (Nate) Fairchild and Nicholas Hilborn; great grandchild, Isaiah Fairchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Betty Rucker.

Memorial contributions may be made in his name to First Baptist Church Memorial Fund or Hospice of the Western Reserve.
