David M. "FARLEY" Wilder went home to be with the Lord on January 15, 2016. David was born September 30, 1958 in Painesville, Ohio. He attended Riverside Schools before entering the U.S. Navy. He served on the U.S.S. Saratoga from 1977 to 1982. In the Navy he learned the love of electronics and mechanics. He was in charge of the entertainment radio station on the U.S.S. Saratoga. He returned home to Leroy Twp. after his years of service, and worked helping his mother and father with their antique business 'The Brass Connection'. David also worked alongside his dad and two brothers where he learned carpentry skills. David worked for Riverside School system as a bus mechanic; Jones Trucking and Star Trucking Leasing. But, his favorite job was being a father to his two children. When he became disabled, he wanted to feel useful so, his love for electronics led him to recycle old computers by repairing them and giving them to people who could not afford to buy them. David was a member of 'Sober Safe'. He was also a member of the VFW Post 7939. He loved Karaoke, and really enjoyed riding his motorcycle. David is preceded in death by his mother Ruth (Crellin) Wilder and father Wallace Winton Wilder. He is survived by the loves of his life, daughter Emily and son Cody; their mom Laura Gibson; brothers Alan and Lorinda (Curry) Wilder; Jeffrey L. and Susan (Colantonio) Wilder; sister Barbara (Terry) Reckart; many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews and all who called him 'friend'. He will forever be remembered for his zeal for life and his booming voice which was unmistakable. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
