After a long and courageous battle with Parkinson's disease, David Carl Nilsen, passed peacefully August 22, 2017.

He is survived by his wife Nancy Nilsen, Daughter, Diana Beebe (husband, Chris), Daughter, Debbie (husband, Don) and Son, David (wife, Karen).

As per his wishes there were no calling hours and a private family burial was held at Riverside Cemetery in Painesville.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to the Parkinson's Foundation in David's memory or read a story or share a book with a child.  A voracious reader, David read many hours to his children and was constantly gaining new knowledge throughout his 80 years.
