Deborah A. Benedict, age 69, passed away October 25, 2021, at UH Geauga Medical Center in Chardon.  She was born March 25, 1952, in Cleveland to Raymond C. and Ruth (Ruck) Drake.

Debbie was a graduate of Mentor High School (Class of 1970) and Lake Erie College (Class of 1974.) She was employed for many years as an office manager and agent for Griffith Insurance Agency in Chagrin Falls, Ohio.

Debbie enjoyed spending time with her family especially during the Christmas season. She took great joy in decorating her home for the holidays. She loved her dogs and treasured the time she spent with them. A typical evening would see Izzy sleeping on Debbie's lap and Molly sleeping on the floor. Debbie believed in being physically active and living life to its fullest. She was an avid athlete in her younger years and she remained active her entire life. Debbie spent much time outdoors enjoying nature and outdoor activities with her husband Ed and friends.

Debbie is survived by her husband, Edward Guy of Painesville Township, her sister, Nan Rankin of Concord Township and her beloved canine companions Izzy and Molly.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Graveside Services will be held at 12:00 PM on Friday, November 5, 2021, at Mentor Cemetery, 6681 Hopkins Road, Mentor, Ohio.
