Mass of Christian Burial for Diann Lee Newman, age 70, will be 10:00 am Thursday at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church 521 Plum Street Fairport Harbor. Friends will be received from 2-4 & 6-8 pm Wednesday at the Spear-Mulqueeny Funeral Home 667 Mentor Ave. Painesville.

A lifetime Painesville resident, Diann was born on August 9, 1944 to Helen (Mercsak) and Fred Kochever. She passed away on December 13, 2014 at her home in Painesville Twp.

Diann served in the US Navy and retired after 30 yrs. with the Painesville Police Department; she also worked for the Thompson Raceway Park for 25 Yrs.

She enjoyed spending time at the raceway, gardening , taking photographs, and collecting Elvis Presley memorabilia. Diann was a caregiver to her father for many years and was always there to help people in their need. She was a shopper who liked garage sales and Marc's Store.

Survived by, Father of Painesville brother, Denny Kochever of Perry nieces and nephews, Denny, Dirk, David, and Brittany Great niece and nephew, Alexandra and Nick Her pet dog, Miss Mollie also survives Preceded in death by, Daughter, Tawnia in 1988 Mother

Interment will be in St. Mary Cemetery in Painesville
