Dolores (Connoly) Adams, a long-time Perry resident, passed away February 12, 2022, in Willoughby, Ohio.  She was born October 9, 1929, in Brownsville, Pennsylvania.

Dolores was a long-time member of Community Christian Church, where she loved starting the coffee pot on Sunday mornings.  At the fund-raising dinners, she happily tried new recipes for the desserts.  Playing cards was a favorite pastime of her and her husband.  They sometimes played all night with overnight guests, and then have breakfast, which she cheerfully made.

Dolores was such a joker.  She loved sitting on the front porch and solving the "word find" books, then go inside and make Eugene his favorite chili.  She loved to cook and would make you food, even if you weren't hungry!

Dolores and Eugene became "Grama and Grandpa" to staff at Ohio Living.  They moved there in 2018 for medical and nursing care.  Eugene passed in 2020 after being married to Dolores for 51 years.

The family would like to thank the staff at Fairmount Health Center at Ohio Living Breckenridge Village, for caring for "Grandpa" and "Grama" during the last years of life.  We will forever be grateful.

Dolores is survived by her sons, Kenneth (Sherry) Staley, Arthur (Leisa) Staley; daughter, Dolores Alanen; stepsons, Cliff and Kevin Adams; stepdaughter, Janet Burdette; two brothers, one sister, and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Arthur Staley in 1963; second husband, Eugene Adams in 2020; four brothers, three sisters, a granddaughter, and her parents, Grant and Margaret (Keery) Connoly

Friends will be received 2:00 – 4:00 PM, Thursday, February 24, 2022, at Spear Mulqueeny Funeral Home, 667 Mentor Avenue, Painesville, Ohio. Immediately following services ALL are invited to a "Celebration of Life" at Community Christian Church, 370 Hale Road, Painesville.

Friday, February 25, 2022 at 11am will be the burial  at Perry Cemetery.
