Obituary

Donna L. Martin, age 84, passed away March 26, 2026, at Chardon Healthcare in Chardon.  She was born July 1, 1941, in Painesville to Seth Bigley and Elizabeth (Kazsmer) Bigley.

Donna was a schoolteacher and taught for the Perry School System for many years.  She also taught at St. Mary School in Painesville and was Assistant Children's Librarian at the Perry Public Library.

Donna 's faith was very strong and she was a member of St. Cyprian Catholic Church in Perry.  She enjoyed gardening, scrapbooking and traveling.  Most of all she loved spending time with her grandchildren, who were very special to her.

Donna is survived by her husband, Jack Martin; daughters, Stacey (Simon) Fiebig and Jennifer (Michael) Kovell; sister, Barbara Bonelli; grandchildren, Olivia Fiebig, Cole Kovell and Claire Kovell; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Friends will be received 4:00 – 7:00 PM, Monday, March 30, 2026, at Spear Mulqueeny Funeral Home, 667 Mentor Avenue, Painesville, Ohio.  Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 AM, Tuesday, March 31st at St. Cyprian Catholic Church, 4223 Middle Ridge Road, Perry, Ohio.  Burial will be at Perry Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Donna's memory may be made to the Perry Public Library, 3753 Main Street, Perry, Ohio 44081.
