Donna Jo Salminen, age 81, passed away January 3, 2022, at Tri Point Medical Center in Concord Township.  She was born August 29, 1940, in Glouster, Ohio to Elmer and Virginia (Hogue) Gyure.

Donna was a registered nurse and received her nursing degree from Oberlin College. She worked at the VA Medical Center and St. Luke's Hospital for many years.

She enjoyed reading, listening to music, cooking, and being by the water. Most of all, she loved spending time with family and friends. She also took great pride in being a member of her church and giving back to others.

Donna is survived by her husband Norman Salminen; sons, Scott Salminen and Jeff Salminen; brother, Mike (Jean) Gyure; grandchildren, Kirsten Salminen and Sam Salminen.

Friends will be received 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM, Monday, January 10, 2022, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 250 Bowhall Road, Painesville Township.  Memorial Services will immediately follow at 11:00 AM.
