Funeral Services for Donna J. Toney, 82, will be 11:00 AM, Tuesday, January 22, 2019 at First Baptist Church, 10801 Johnnycake Ridge Road, Painesville, Ohio. ( friends received at Church Tuesday 10:00 AM until time of service at 11:00 AM).  Friends will be received 4:00 – 6:00 PM, Monday, January 21st at Spear Mulqueeny Funeral Home, 667 Mentor Avenue, Painesville.  Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery.

Donna was born July 25, 1936 in Painesville to Dwight L. and Elna Louise (Tench) Hankey.  She passed away January 17, 2019 at Vista Springs Quail Highlands in Painesville.

Donna was a Queen Mum of the Red Hatters, The Fabulous Over 50 Late Bloomers.  She was also a member of the Willoughby and Mentor Senior Citizens Centers where she was involved in educational, health, and exercise programs.  She always looked forward to her monthly get-togethers with her high school friends.  Donna enjoyed working crossword puzzles and especially loved spending time with her family.

Donna is survived by her daughter, Sherry Yvonne Toney; granddaughter, Janessa Flowers; and sister, Mary Anne Kelly.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin E. Toney in 2018; daughter, Vickie J. Toney in 2018; her parents; sisters, Doris Hoffman, Sally Hough, Alma Hankey and Janet Hankey.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Donna's memory may be made to First Baptist Church of Painesville.
