Funeral services for Dorothy O. (Johnson) Punkar, age 96, will be Friday (March 18, 2016) 12:00 noon at Spear-Mulqueeny Funeral Home 667 Mentor Avenue Painesville, where friends will be received from 10:00 am to time of services Friday.

A six month resident of Cardinal Woods Nursing Home and a prior 20 yr. resident of Painesville, Dorothy was born on January 25, 1920 in Willoughby and passed away on March 13, 2016 at University Hospital in Cleveland. She was a bartender for the former Parmly Hotel in Painesville for several years and cleaned homes. Dorothy was a member of the Concord Alliance Church in Concord Twp. and was also a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Painesville V.F.W. Post 2595. She enjoyed crafts, playing cards, and traveling. She is survived by, Sons, Dale and Norman of Perry Gary (Carole) of Baltimore, MD Alan of Columbia, SC Herb of Mentor Dexter (Carrie) of Katy, TX Seven Grandchildren and Seven Great Grandchildren Several Friends also survive

Preceded in death by, Husband, Dale Johnson, Sr. in 1953 and 2nd husband, Bill Punkar Parents, Lowell and Lavinia (Lindley) Morrow Sisters, Nellie and Edith Brothers, Lowell and Charles Interment will be in Perry Cemetery
