Mrs. Dorothy M. Hall, age 84, passed away March 3, 2026, at University Hospital Lake West Medical Center in Willoughby, Ohio. She was born June 4, 1941, in Franklin County, North Carolina to William Ervin Yarborough and Bessie Genevieve Fogg.
Dorothy was a homemaker and enjoyed her family. She loved spending time at the church with her children. She loved cooking, gardening and listening to her gospel music. Dorothy loved with a great passion collecting pictures of her loved ones. Dorothy was a devoted wife and mother. Her life reflected lots of love, passion, direction and correction. Dorothy's faith was unyielding and unwavering. Dorothy's commitment to her family was and will forever be unmatched. She would always invest her time in helping family members by babysitting their children to allow them the chance to experience a one-of-a-kind bonus grandma love. Once you experience as a child the love, energy, protection and fun times with Dorothy, your life has forever been changed. Dorothy raised the bar with the way in which she nurtured, protected and proudly represented her family. There will never be another DOROTHY M. HALL, never.
Dorothy is survived by her daughters, Allison Patricia (David) Puckett and Jacqueline Hall-(John) Gibson; sons, Nelson R. Hall, Johnny (Geri) Sheffey, and Regis Sheffey; brothers, Jerry Williams, Ricky Williams, sisters: Linda Carolyn Montague, Zula Mae Walker, Janine Woods, Judy Perry and Vern Lee; Grandchildren, David Alan (Heather) Puckett Jr., Giovanni Marcel Gibson, Sapphire Marqui Gibson (Brandon), KaSheena KaShel Gibson, Alexis Chanel Hall, Alexandra Christine Hall, Craig Byron Hall Jr., Prince William Nelson Hall, Chante Beavo Hall, Ashley (Tommy) Bumpus, Tatiana Hall, Kalina Hall, William James Hall, Marcus (Tracy) Brown Hall and Zoe Hall-Wray; great grandchildren, Kylah Renee Ford, Kaleb David Puckett, Yvette Jasmine Puckett, David Alan Puckett Jr., Josiah James Puckett, Alyssa Naomi Puckett, Anastasia Denise Puckett, Aleah Alli Puckett, Zachary Kai Puckett-Daniels, NaKeia Gianna Gibson, Kyrie Kantrell Gibson, Zoe Catherine Gibson, Brandon Tyrell Davis Jr., Royalty Noelle Davis, King Amir Davis, Serenity Dior Davis, Legend Armani Davis, Aubrey Johnae Johnson, Exavier Bagley Hall, Kyomanii Robinson Hall, Serenity Hall, Saviyon Hall, Elijah Pegross, Sidnee Bumpus, Leah Austin, Tommy Bumpus III, Azariah Wofford, Sidra Bumpus, Oksana Hall, Ozai Hall, Destiny Love' Jones, Elijah Siaire Hall, Alanah Rose Hall, A'riah Lucille Hall, Xavier Thomas Rode, Xylon Alexander Rode, and Xane Danel Byron Rode; great-great grandchildren, Cashius Byron Hall, Eclipse Bagley Hall, Landon Hall, London Hall, Saveah Bumpus and Laken Hall.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. William James Hall on June 27th, 1993; her parents William Ervin Yarborough and Bessie Genevieve Fogg; daughter, Denise Hall-Wray; sons, Keith Wayne Hall, David Leroy Hall, Craig Byron Hall Sr., and William James Sheffey; brothers, George Williams, Percy Williams, Tony Williams, Stanley Yarborough, William Ervin Yarborough Jr., Aaron Yarborough; sister, Betty Williams; granddaughters, Alicia Monique Puckett and Harlem Jream Johnson.
Friends will be received from 10:00am - 11:00am Friday, March 13, 2026, at New Hope Baptist Church, 428 West Jackosn Street, Painesville, Ohio 44077. Funeral Services will follow at 11:00 AM. Burial will be held at Riverside Cemetery.
