Douglas Edward Gladen, age 53 of Painesville, suddenly passed away  on April 8, 2026, in Mentor, Ohio. Born June 12, 1972, to Larry Gladen and Judy (Nelson) Gladen.

Doug lived his life for family, community and a good time. He was a dedicated husband to Lori (Greer) Gladen, his loving wife of 25 years, devoted father to Dougie Jr. and grandfather to Grayson Elliot Gladen. A hardworking man who built a successful career as a mechanic. A long standing member of the Sons of the American Legion Post 336 in Painesville. Doug was the life of the party. He had a great sense of humor and always had a smile on his face. His laughter was contagious and he was a best friend to all.

Doug is survived by his mother, Judy Gladen;  brothers, Larry (Lynda) Gladen and Greg Gladen; and sister, Beth (Shawn) Mitchell.

He was preceded in death by his father, Larry Gladen in 2010.

Friends and family will be received 4:30 – 6:30 PM, Friday, April 17, 2026, at Spear Mulqueeny Funeral Home, 667 Mentor Avenue, Painesville, Ohio with a small funeral service immediately following.
