Obituary

Douglas "Doug" Taylor Hunt, age 77, passed away December 15, 2021, at Tri Point Medical Center in Concord Township, Ohio.  He was born December 20, 1943, in Ottawa, West Virginia to Taylor and Goldie (Woods) Hunt.

Doug was a machinist and worked for the Bailey Meter Company for many years.  He enjoyed woodworking and etching with his laser machine. He was fascinated by and loved working with numbers…anything mathematical and working on his computer.  Doug also enjoyed watching John Wayne movies and action shows.  But most of all, he loved spending time with his grandchildren and family.

Doug is survived by his wife, Carole (Sajner) Hunt; son, Jeff (Kathy) Brown of Mentor; daughters, Karen (Michael) West of Queen Creek, Arizona, Kerri (Tom) Geyer of Medina and Carrie (Randy) McVicker of Chardon; sisters, Bethel Gilliam of Ottawa, West Virginia, Dorothy (Glen) Greene of Madison, West Virginia, Belinda Kay (Rodney) Smith, also of Madison, West Virginia and Rae (Joe) Griffith of Elizabeth City, North Carolina; nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren, with one on the way.

Funeral Services for Doug will be held 6:00 PM, Monday, December 20, 2021, at Spear Mulqueeny Funeral Home, 667 Mentor Avenue, Painesville, Ohio.  Family and friends will be received from 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM before the service.
