Earl L. Hockman passed away on Thursday, May 31, 2018, surrounded by his family.  He was 78.

Earl was born and raised in Cumberland, Maryland.  After high school graduation he moved to Ohio with his family.

He served in the U. S. Air Force as an airplane mechanic and was a veteran of the Viet Nam War.  He was employed by Lubrizol Corp. for over 30 years, before retiring in 1995.

Earl was a kind and generous man, especially when it came to his children.

He is survived by his three children, Dane (Deborah) Hockman, Kimberly (Stanley) Dobrowski and Stacy Hockman; two grandsons, Brandon Hockman and Adam Hockman; and his loving companion of 25 years, Jane Burt.

Earl was preceded in death by his wife Brenda; father, Harold Hockman; mother, Wilda (Cook) Hockman and sister, Bonnie LaMond.

Calling hours will be held 4:00 – 8:00 PM, Monday, June 4, 2018 at Spear Mulqueeny Funeral Home, 667 Mentor Avenue, Painesville, Ohio.  The funeral service will be 11:00 AM, Tuesday, June 5 at the funeral home.  Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.
